I'm getting the "Browser Intrusion Protection is Malfunctioning" error with a new installation of Windows 10 Pro upgraded to AE fully MS patched
I disabled Windows Defender in Local Computer policy - Admin Templates - Windows Components - Windows Defender - 'Turn Off Defender'..
I was then able to install 12.1.6 - non compatible with Windows 10 Version of SEP ??? Unsure how, btu then I copped the 'this version is not compatible with windows 10 etc.."
Uninstalled SEP then rebooted, then installed 12.1.6.MP6 - rebooted, then when Opening IE 11 I copped the "Browser Intrusion Protection is Malfunctioning. Check the system logs for details" Message...
It happens when I just open a new Tab - Blank in IE. If I keep clicking new tabs it doesnt always happen but sometimes will error. Very strange.
Anyone got any ideas? Also not using GPO for IE addons.
Could there be a issue with having installed 12.1.6 first??
Before I upgrade Management Console to MP6 and roll it out Australia wide to my clients, I want to make sure its not going to be a nightmare. It doesnt appear anyone has much idea of the cause yet looking at other threads and googling... but I did get plenty of hits going back few years on the issue pre Win10.
