Minimizing network bandwidth

We have SEPM installed at our main site.  We have 21 seperate physical sites that all connect the main site either through leased line fiber or VPN.  I need to configure SEPM to use a minimal amount of bandwidth.  I have set it to "pull" and the heartbeat interval to 8 hours.  I have set LiveUpdate to update at 11PM (off-hours).

Is there anything else I need to do?  Is there a way to schedule new SEP client installs (pushed from server) to only occur during off hours?
